Infant Feeding:
We provide assessment and treatment for infants who have difficulty drinking from a bottle or breast. These difficulties are characterized by
- Not meeting appropriate developmental milestones (ex. babbling)
- Frequent coughing, gagging, and/or choking during feeding sessions
- Lacking alertness during feeding sessions
- Poor weight gain
- Poor growth
- Crying and pulling away from the bottle or breast during feeding sessions
- Arching back during feeds
- Spitting up and/or vomiting frequently
Our in depth evaluation determines the severity of the problem and best approach for treatment to support families on their journey to learning and understanding more about feeding difficulties.
