E.BJennifer has been working with my son for some time now. When everyone’s world was turned upside down and speech therapy became virtual, she has blown me away! She should be commended and recognized for her hard work and efforts. Keeping an almost 3 year entertained and engaged, while working on necessary skills, is no easy task. Jennifer is innovative with her sessions and incorporates my sons interest. My son looks forward to seeing her. She frequently emails me with skills I can work on at home and provides agendas for upcoming sessions. We are very lucky to have such an amazing therapist!
Sophia's dadSophia enrolled in a competitive Bergen County speech therapy program in the summer of 2017. Since Sophia is an extremely high functioning/ achieving young lady, it took us a very long time to find an adequate program curtailed to her specific needs. In November of 2017, they stopped accepting my medical health insurance which almost covers full cost.
Relocating/ finding a sound program took nearly 3 months.
Fortunately I was given Lauren Hoey’s name as a great recommendation for for my Sophia.
Upon arrival to Speech Therapy Plus, our family was cordially welcomed and guided/ coached by the heart and soul of the program Sophie.
I inquired for Lauren and she immediately scheduled my daughter 2 times per week as requested after numerous efforts with the insurance agency to accept my plan.
Lauren has been a God sent to Sophia. She connected with my daughter within days. She was able to acquaint with her and develop a relationship to the point where she discovered her strengths and areas of need.Sophia was although a very intellectually savvy young lady, quite shy and reserved.
Lauren quickly discovered Sophia’s unique ways of looking at this world.She noticed that she needed help expressing and differentiating literal terminologies, quotes, etc. as they pertain to everyday life situations. Lauren constantly taps into that area of need and as a result, Sophia has grown incredibly since. Sophia’s folder for homework assignments has increased in complexity with deep reading comprehension, inferencing author’s view points analysis along with other challenging material which are going to make her prepared for her forthcoming college career and beyond.
Lauren’s teaching methods and challenges have given the our family strong hope that Sophia will soon transition into a sound college student and subsequently a competent professional in her field of interest and life.

MelissaMy now four year-old son has been going to Speech Therapy Plus LLC for a year and not only has his speech vastly improved but he has become more outgoing and confident and more comfortable speaking in new situations. His program is specially tailored to meet his needs by an experienced therapist. He enjoys his time with his therapist and her staff and is proud of himself after.
michele mancusoMy husband started going to Julia due to problems he incurred due to an illness. I was very impressed with how
she was able to correct those problems after just 2 visits. In fact I was so impressed that even though my daughter was seeing a speech therapist at school, I took her to see Julia as well. Emily was having problems with the r sound and Julia was able to pinpoint the problem and correct it in the first visit. I highly recommend Julia. She is very patient (which you have to be dealing with my husband) but also very good with kids and she knows what she is doing.
Also the office staff goes above and beyond when it comes to helping you. If you are trying to decide who to choose as a speech therapist, don’t be anymore. Call and make an appointment, you won’t be disappointed.

Jamie HrinukMy daughter Mathilda struggled with expressive language at 18 months. After seeing Julia just a few sessions, my family began to see progress. She now is 23 months and is doing amazing! Mathilda loves going to see Ms. Julia. Julia also provides strategies and things to work on at home. She provides a few minutes after each session to give feedback. Also, her office staff was incredibly helpful with the insurance process. I’m so thankful for her expertise and professionalism and would highly recommend Speech Therapy Plus to anyone!
